The club is run as a member of York Sport, a sub-committee of YUSU.

To be a member of the club you must first join York Sport. For the 2010/2011 academic year membership of York Sport will cost £40. Although this may sound expensive this also includes membership of the sports centre, a necessity for anyone wishing to use the facilities there. Joining York Sport is very easy and can be done online via the York Sport website. This membership gives members insurance for playing any sports at York and has a number of other benefits. More details can be found on the website linked above. Please note that this year there will not be a separate membership card, all you need is your university card (the one with the duck on it).

Joining UYVC will cost £30 for the year (or £15 per term) for someone intending to train with either the men's or women's team. If you are new to volleyball and only want to attend the "beginner's" sessions, you can pay £25 for the year (or £10 per term) if you want to train twice a week, or £15 if you want to train once a week.

Members must also pay match fees if they take part in a game. Match fees are currently £3 per game per person, and help to cover some of the costs of travel.  Any member who wishes to play for the club must also pay a £4 registration fee to BUCS, for which they will receive a registration card allowing them to play for the club.  This cost is set by BUCS and is out of our control.
