It promises to be another exciting year for the University of York's Mens 1st team as we look to improve on a successful season last year. We play in BUCS division 1 North, arguably the toughest region in the country. Last year a record 3rd place finish proved that a season of hard training paid off, qualifying for the last 16 stage of the national competition, where we drew a tasty away tie at Queens University, Belfast, unfortunately suffering a narrow defeat. However, as one of the top 16 teams in the country last year, we target more knock-out stage action, along with a promising student cup run. The club enjoyed great success at the anual and historic Roses tournament, where the mens team came out victorious in a thrilling high-action match against Lancaster. With another exciting season on its way, the squad cannot wait to get back onto the court!
