The club held its first social last night in Jumbo (a Chinese all you can eat buffet) in York town center followed by the traditional Wednesday night trip to Ziggy's. Twenty people from the men's, women's and beginners joined us to stuff our faces and then play one of Sunny and Sophie's (our social reps) infamous games.

Who in the club has:

• Webbed feet?
• Has a sister who writes for Hollyoaks?
• A grandfather who took the surrender of Bulgaria in WWII?
• Loves guys who can pee in the sea?

Thanks to everyone who came on the evening, I hope you all had as good a time as the committee did - it was truly one of the most successful socials in a long time.

The Club held its first committee meeting of the term yesterday. The committee has now decided on membership fees for the coming year as well as discussing how to use the new facilities (when they arrive).

At the meeting we also decided to purchase a domain name for the club. www.uyvc.co.uk will be the new place to find all the news about fixtures, training and socials. At training tonight the elections were held for the roles of President, Secretary and Treasurer for the club for the next academic year. The results are shown below:
