UYVC Committee Meeting
13th November 2006

Meeting Start: 1335h

1. Membership

Tally of membership figures so far in the term: 24 fully-paid members and 6 beginners. Original budgeting for 30 members, with more to possibly join next term.

2. Finance

Nick reported club finances to be in good shape. The only item budgeted for but not bought yet is the outdoor ball, which will be purchased later. Re-fill for the first aid kit cost less than budgeted for.

ACTION: Nick to get a budget print-out from the AU

3. Teams

3.1 Start of Season

Men’s team: Played 4, Won 2, Lost 2. 3 Home games and 1 Away game left.
Women’s team: Played 2, Won 0, Lost 2. 2 Home and 2 Away games left.
Double home game in week 7, refereeing and food to be sorted.

3.2 BUSA Affiliation

12 registered men; 7 registered women
For any others to be registered, a photo and the completed form must be brought to the game and then sent off immediately after

3.3 British Universities Representation

Nominations to be in by 30th November; forms can be obtained from Ben

4. Student Cup

Qualifiers for the men’s team are to be on the 25th of November at Manchester Metropolitan University. Transport is yet to be arranged. Women who wish to support the men’s team can fill any surplus seats available.

5. Roses

Provisional timetable has been put out. All matches to be in the tent, with women and men playing at 3.30 and 5.30 on the Saturday of ROSES weekend, followed by the mixed game at 2.30 on Sunday.

6. Socials

2 successful socials so far this term. Suggestion for Matt to be physically present to announce socials at the beginners’ session as well, to encourage their participation.

7. Merchandise

Leigh to sort out kit orders from new team members first, before taking orders for other merchandise eg. hoodies, rugby shirts etc.

8. Website

There is now a new affiliate deal with the website

9. Any Other Business
