Last weekend the men's team finished 8th in the UK at the BUSA Finals weekend held in Loughborough.  The overall tournament was eventually won by Sheffield Hallam.

The team played promising volleyball at times during the tournament but found playing at a high level over 3 days very difficult to acheive.  The highlight of the weekend was taking a set off University of London, eventual runners-up, on the Saturday morning.

The results from the weekend were as follows:

• Lost 2-0 to Bournemouth
• Lost 2-1 to University of London
• Lost 2-0 to Edinburgh
• 7th - 8th Playoff
• Lost 2-0 to Queens Belfast

The team showed great maturity in moving up from the second division last year and making it so far in BUSA first division this year.  The team will find it difficult next year as it will lose a number of key players, but the foundations have been set and need to be built on.
